Czasami otwieranie słoików przysparza nam problemów. Nie mamy zbyt wiele sił na to, by odkręcić zakrętkę, a czas nagli. Nie pomagają ściereczki, uderzanie słoikiem o blat i inne sprytne sposoby. Z pomocą przychodzi nam wydra, czyli niezwykle przydatne urządzenie o imieniu Tom. Wykonany z wysokiej jakości, twardego tworzywa przyrząd w kilka sekund upora się ze zbyt mocno zamkniętym słoikiem. Wystarczy zahaczyć zębami wydry o krawędź nakrętki i lekko podważyć, by przez szczelinę dostało się do wnętrza słoika powietrze. W ten prosty sposób od razu uda nam się otworzyć oporny słoik.
